What is the AIHM Mindset & Behaviour Tracker?

is a sport-based insight app designed to help coaches, schools, and parents support the mental fitness, behaviour, and emotional development of young people.

It focuses on building skills early — such as confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, and self-control — which are widely recognised as protective factors for long-term wellbeing.

This app does not diagnose or label mental illness. It supports early understanding, healthy habits, and positive responses.

Why mental fitness matters

Mental fitness is like physical fitness — it needs to be developed consistently over time.

When young people build strong mental fitness skills, they are better able to:

  • manage stress and pressure,
  • regulate emotions,
  • cope with setbacks and mistakes,
  • communicate needs appropriately,
  • and seek support earlier when challenges arise.

These skills play an important role in reducing the risk of ongoing emotional and behavioural difficulties later in life.

How this app helps strengthen mental fitness

  • Encouraging consistent adult awareness of behaviour and emotional responses
  • Supporting early intervention, before issues escalate
  • Helping adults reinforce positive coping strategies
  • Creating a shared language between coaches, parents, and organisations
  • Promoting healthy responses to pressure, failure, and challenge

Rather than waiting until problems become serious, the app supports early, preventative action.

How the Program Works

Coach-led observation

At this stage, the AIHM Tracker uses structured coach observation.

Coaches record short, age-appropriate observations based on what they see during training and competition.

The app tracks patterns over time across key mental fitness areas, including:

  • confidence,
  • resilience,
  • emotional regulation,
  • behaviour and social interaction.

No players are asked to score themselves at this stage.

What you’ll see in the app

The app presents insights in a clear, non-clinical format, including:

  • zone-based indicators (not grades or labels),
  • strengths and developing areas,
  • trends over time,
  • guidance focused on support and improvement.

This helps conversations stay calm, constructive, and solution-focused.

Optional Premium Feature: AI-Supported Development

For organisations using the Premium version, AI works alongside coaches and parents to support mental fitness development.

The AI can:

  • highlight areas where additional support may help,
  • suggest practical mental fitness activities,
  • provide coaching prompts and session ideas,
  • offer parent-friendly guidance to reinforce skills at home.

The AI supports education and prevention, not diagnosis or treatment.
